Within Mumac, the Group’s professsionali coffee grains machines Cimbali Museum, open Mumac Library the second most sophisticated coffee library in the world after Joan Jacobs Museum in Zurich.
The coffee grains you can also read the Museo del Gruppo Cimbali, the largest library dedicated to most popular beverage in the world. From December 2016 allows fans to browse all in one breath the history of this drink.
The library has the charm of contamination: a thousand volumes collected and fifteen thousand documents stored, all catalogued and digitized.
The collection gathers volumes about this world and will remain at the disposal of visitors who will access it by booking a visit at Mumac. Divided into 10 sections, the library, which houses among others the books from the collection M, offers a comprehensive view on the world of coffee through storytelling that have made historians, botanists, engineers, observers of the costume, artists from 1592 until the present day.
Starting point and relic preserved in which appears for the first time the figure of the coffee plant: the De Plantis Aegepty Liber by Prospero Alpini of 1592.
Not only books are housed in this space: there is also the historical archive of Gruppo Cimbali with over 15,000 documents related to the coffee grains world.
There are posters, historic photographs, product catalogs, patents as well as a collection of historical technical drawings showing the history of the Group’s brands, La Cimbali and Faema.
